My first circus was Clyde Beatty's. I was 12 years old.  I was overtook by his act and vowed I would get in a steel arena myself.  I was 30 before signing on with Carson & Barnes.  I presented the 4 lion 3 tiger act and then worked for Jungle Larry in Naples.

Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Combined Show in 1946 at Madison Square Garden.  I was 4, but clearly remember the side show as well as some of the three- ring acts such as: Lou Jacobs clown car and all the clowns that came out, one by one; Emmet Kelly sweeping a spotlight into a dustpan; the trapeze act; a few animal acts; and the circus parade.
