This year's Circus Historical Society Convention will be held in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Vegas Variety Circus Festival. The July 20 session of Circus History Live! will feature world-famous circus artist (hand balancer), producer, and co-founder of the Vegas Variety Circus Festival, Maxim Popazov.
Maxim is a member of the seventh generation of the 150-year-old Popazov-Koch Russian circus family dynasty. He was a competitor on the 12th season of America's Got Talent and a cast member of the Absinthe show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. He performed at the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival and with Circus Krone, the Swiss National Circus Knie, and other top-ranked circuses. He is married to Julia Makarova who is also a circus artist and co-founder of the Vegas Variety Circus Festival.
