About the Event

This year's Circus Historical Society Convention will be held in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Vegas Variety Circus Festival. The July 20 session of Circus History Live! will feature world-famous circus artist (hand balancer), producer, and co-founder of the Vegas Variety Circus Festival, Maxim Popazov. 

Maxim is a member of the seventh generation of the 150-year-old Popazov-Koch Russian circus family dynasty. He was a competitor on the 12th season of America's Got Talent and a cast member of the Absinthe show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. He performed at the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival and with Circus Krone, the Swiss National Circus Knie, and other top-ranked circuses. He is married to Julia Makarova who is also a circus artist and co-founder of the Vegas Variety Circus Festival.

CHS vice president Chris Berry will host this session.

How to Register

Circus History Live! is free for CHS members and nonmembers. However, our Zoom Big Top has limited seats and registration is required. To register, click the YES button at the top of the email announcement, or the REGISTER button on the top left of the event webpage.

How to Attend the Event

To participate, at the time of the event, click here to enter the CHS Zoom Big Top and follow the prompts. Ensure your microphone is muted and your video is off to help preserve bandwidth.
