The Sunday May 21st edition of Circus History Live! featured a conversation with 2023 Circus Ring of Fame Inductee Jeanette Williams!
An eighth generation member of Germany’s famous Circus Williams family, Jeanette Williams came to the United States in 1969 with her mother Carola and all of their animals to open the second unit of Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus. She performed with eighteen liberty horses and assorted animals in Europe and in the US. Jeanette was also instrumental in preserving cheetahs and other endangered species at the Columbus Zoo and white tigers in Germany. She also owned her own show in the US, and became a prominent agent for circus arts talent.
