The December 11th Circus History Live! program featured Michelangelo Nock discussing the history of the Nerveless Nocks

With roots dating back to the 1700s, the Nock family established Switzerland's first circus in 1840. They have been producing live circus and thrill shows around the world for over 9 generations!

The original Nerveless Nocks troupe, which consisted of Charles Nock, Dorothy Nock, Eugene Nock, Sr., Elizabeth Bauer Nock, and Joseph Bauer, first performed in the United States in 1954. They headlined the Greatest Show on Earth with their Sway Pole Extravaganza and Aerial Balancing Ladder acts for then circus owners John and Henry Ringling North. The current members include Michelangelo Nock, Carolina Espana Nock, Angelina Nock, and Cyrus Nock performing on Sway Poles, Wheel of Steel, Globe of Death, Vortex of Doom, and the High Wire Sky Cycle!

This program was hosted by Circus Historical Society vice president Chris Berry.

All Circus History Live! sessions are free and open to members and non-members. However, because we have a limited number of "seats" in our Zoom big top, registration is required.

This sessions and all previous Circus History Live! programs are available for viewing on the CHS YouTube Channel.
